ABOUT NELLIESTORE

WHAT IS A VOUCHER CODE?

At Nellie, we sell most of our products through stores. A lot of our customers buy our products as gifts. If someone buys you a Nellie gift pack it will contain a voucher code. You can redeem this code at www.nelliestore.co.uk. You will then be taken through the customisation process online, and be able to place your order. You will not be charged anything when you order your product online unless you choose to upgrade your product or change your delivery options. If you don't have a voucher code, don't worry. You can purchase our products online directly.

 

HOW DO I DESIGN MY CALENDAR?

You design your calendar by dragging the thumbnails of images from your gallery to relevant months. If you decide that you want to change the image for a particular month, simply drag a replacement image over the top of it. You can also add new pictures from here, or you can review your images by visiting 'My Gallery'. You will need 13 images to create a calendar, including the cover image. Make sure that you start your calendar in the right month, and don't forget to save your calendar before moving on through the process.

 

WHAT ARE 'SPECIAL DATES'?

Special dates are any dates that are of particular importance to you; birthdays for example, or anniversaries. This is your calendar! You can enter dates that are special to you during the customisation process. Simply select the appropriate month using the double chevrons at the top of the calendar and click on the date. Then enter your text and click 'Add'. All of the special dates you have added are listed at the foot of the page. If you want to remove any of the special dates that are listed you can do so by clicking 'delete'.

 

WHY WOULD I SHARE A CALENDAR AND WHO WOULD I SHARE IT WITH?

You can share your calendar with anyone that you think would be interested in the images that you have used, or would like to celebrate the occasions that your photography features. For example, if you have created a calendar featuring pictures of your wedding, are there any guests that couldn't be there who would enjoy your images as well? Simply input the email address of the individual with whom you'd like to share your calendar, and write a brief message. You can enter multiple email addresses by separating each address with a comma. Any individuals that you enter will receive an email that includes your message inviting them to register with, or sign into, their NellieStore account and review your calendar online. They can then choose to order a copy of it themselves.

 

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR USING THE NELLIESTORE WEBSITE?

NellieStore will work with the following browsers on the following platforms.

 

Windows XP: IE 6.0, IE 7.0, Firefox

 

Windows 2000: IE 5.5, IE 6.0

 

MacOSX: Firefox, Safari 2.0.4

IMAGES

HOW DO I UPLOAD MY IMAGES?

It is easy to upload your images. Just follow the simple steps below.

 

1. Create an album and name it, for example, 'Summer Holiday', or select an appropriate album that you have already created.

 

2. Check that your image is the right size and format - see 'WHAT SIZE SHOULD MY IMAGES BE IN ORDER TO GET A HIGH QUALITY FINISH?'

 

3. Find your image on your desktop by clicking the 'browse' button

 

4. Enter a caption to describe your image if you like

 

5. Click upload.

 

Repeat these steps until you have uploaded all the images that you want to include in your gallery. You don't have to use all the images that are in your gallery and you can add to your gallery at any time by clicking 'My Gallery'.

 

HOW DO I REVIEW THE IMAGES IN MY ACCOUNT?

Just click 'My Gallery' and you will have the opportunity to review existing images in your account. You can delete or add to images from here.

 

WHAT SIZE SHOULD MY IMAGES BE IN ORDER TO GET A HIGH QUALITY FINISH?

Your images should be high resolution. This means that it is more likely to be of print quality. If you have taken a picture from a website, it is unlikely to be high enough quality to print. We recommend that your image is no less than 1600 pixels wide x 1200 pixels high. We also recommend that you save your image in RGB JPEG format. If your image is smaller than this, we recommend an absolute minimum image size of 800 pixels wide x 600 pixels high. HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I STORE IN MY NELLIESTORE ACCOUNT?

You can store up to 100MB of images in your account. There is a symbol on the right of the page that tells you how much storage space you have left.

 

I ORDERED A NELLIE PRODUCT. WHY DO MY IMAGES LOOK FUZZY?

We print the images that you supply to NellieStore during the image upload process in exactly the same format as they are supplied. If the images you have uploaded are of a poor quality, they will appear to be of a poor quality in your printed calendar. We will not doctor or improve the quality of your images. If your images appear to be of poor quality it might be because:

 

Their file size is too small

They are low resolution (72 DPI rather than 300 DPI)

They are too small - they are less than the recommended file size

They were taken in strong or poor lighting conditions We recommend that all the images you upload for inclusion in your calendar are 300 DPI, and are in the region of 1600 pixels x 1200 pixels.

 

YOU DO ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MY IMAGES DURING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS? No. When you order your calendar the process generates a high resolution PDF. We print directly from the PDF. We will not alter, improve or reposition your images in any way. It is up to you to make sure that your images are of a high quality before you place your order, and to check your calendar preview carefully for content details.

 

 

DELIVERY

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PRODUCE MY CALENDAR?

We aim to produce all calendars within 5-7 working days from receipt of order. When we have produced your product we will despatch it and you will receive an email letting you know that your product is on its way to you. We will only process your payment once we have despatched your product.

 

HOW CAN I GUARANTEE DELIVERY?

To guarantee delivery you must request a Special Delivery service. This means that you must sign for your product upon delivery. If you do not specify that you need a Special Delivery service we will send your product using Royal Mail's first class service. The cost of this service is included in the overall product price. We do not offer any guarantees with regards to Royal Mail's service

 

SECURITY

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PASSWORD?

To change your password sign into NellieStore and visit 'Change Personal Preferences'. Use the form to enter your existing password and replace it with a new password. Remember to keep your password secure. We recommend that you use a combination of numbers and letters in your password for increased security.

 

I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD. HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT IT IS?

Visit the NellieStore home page (http://www.nelliestore.co.uk) and select the 'I have a NellieStore account' option. Click 'Forgot password?' and you will be taken to another field where you will be invited to input your email address. Your password will be sent out to you by email.

Tip

If you want to change a month's image, simply drag a new image over it. If you can't find the image you're looking for in your gallery, just click 'Add a new pic' and this will take you back to the upload process.

DON'T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR CALENDAR BEFORE MOVING TO ANOTHER STAGE

Tip

Enter your voucher code in the text field. You'll find your voucher code on the inside of your Nellie Pack. If you haven't been given the Nellie Pack as a gift, or bought a Pack in store, you won't have a voucher code. Don't worry if this is the case. Simply sign in or register by checking the appropriate box
